The child and the infinite game
In production

The feature length documentary film by Jane Hanckel addresses the need to prepare our children for a future we cannot predict. The film has won eleven awards internationally in film festivals, before theatrical release.

Filmed over five years across Australia, Finland and the UK, the Child and the Infinite Game follows young people navigating society and education systems under pressure – from academic demands and digital distraction to unprecedented levels of anxiety. Through their eyes, we witness both the challenges in mainstream schooling and the promise of more human-centered models.

The film unearths anomalies – ordinary people and groups working beyond the modern curriculum and achieving remarkable outcomes.
